About Mindre film & Stian Skjelstad


Mindre Film was established in 2024 by producer Stian Skjelstad, looking to produce high quality Norwegian auteur driven projects within live action, animation and hybrid-formats.

Stian Skjelstad studied producing at The Norwegian Film School, and is an Amanda-winning producer with his latest short film "Mercy" which is now competing for the European Film Award for best short film 2027.

Earlier, he worked as a festival producer and in political communications. He has also worked in production on several Norwegian features in both live action and animation, among them: the Sex, Dreams, Love-trilogy (2024), Captain Sabertooth and the countess of grel (2025) and Christmas with Astrid Lindgren (2023).

Yes, we do co-produce shorts!

We have the possibility of applying for co-production funding both from the National Film Fund (the Norwegian Film Institute) and our regional film fund (Viken filmsenter) to be a minory co-producer on shorts. More information can be found from their webpages as linked below.
