ABOUT
Sixteen-year-old Aurora spends a naked day with her mother on a deserted beach. Time alone leads to intimate conversations about sex and love, blurring the line between being parent and child and being friends.
WRITER/DIRECTOR
Ingrid Runde Saxegaard is a Norwegian director and production designer, and an alumni of The Norwegian Film School. Her debut short film, A mash moss story (2022), screened in competition at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad.
Saxegaard’s work centers on human conversations and relationships, with a particular interest in themes such as sex, desire, shame, and the roles we inhabit in relation to one another. Her films are often personal, and she approaches characters with her own sense of humor, playfulness and childlike sensibility.
Her newest project Sandy Fannies is an exploration of the blurred line between mother and daughter, and vulnerability and play.
