ABOUT

The hottest day of the year is a satire about sorrow, community and outsiderness. The morning after the 2022 shooting against Oslo Pride, Mariell (30) rushes to her best friend Thomas´ house to mourn, but realises his family has decided to throw a poolparty today.

Now Mariell has to navigate inflatable flamingoes, pride flags and right wing uncles while trying to mourn yesterdays events with Thomas. The film challenges the gap between the queer and straight community in the aftermath of the event.
